Mayor Parisi will be attending a special VCW meeting on Monday,  November26th, 2012 at 7:30 pm at Hazel Avenue School. He will be addressing the recent activity in Town over the past several months and what initiatives they are taking to address it.

Oct. 29th Mtg. Postponed

In light of the anticipated inclement weather conditions and to ensure the safety of our members, the Valley Community Watch meeting scheduled for Monday, October 29th will be postponed until next week or as soon as the Mayor is available. We will follow-up with a new meeting date as soon as one is available.

A new restaurant is set to open on Valley Rd. with a grand opening celebration Saturday. Mayor Parisi with officiate the ribbon cutting ceremony. Come out, enjoy some food and support business in the Valley.

Elections for 2011 – 2013 Board of Trustees
Nominations for the Board of Trustees positions will be accepted at the meeting. The term is for 2011 – 2013.

All residents and business owners of the Valley neighborhood* are welcome to submit their candidacy for the following open positions:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice-Chairperson
  •  Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Communications
  • Sgt at Arms
  • Chair Emeritus

* See Article VIII – Membership of the bylaws to review eligibility rules for being a member and submitting a nomination.

All candidates must be present at the October 17th meeting and must be accompanied by a VCW neighborhood resident to second their nomination.

Hazel School Fall Carnival This Weekend

The Hazel School Fall Carnival is a fun, welcome back event for students, families and friends. It is also one of the main fund raisers for the school PTA. Games, rides, face painting, food and back by popular demand, the dunk tank!

This year’s list of dunkees includes: Mayor Parisi, Assemblyman John McKeon, Councilman Sal Anderton and Councilman Joe Krakoviak among others.

Mayor Parisi’s Open Office Hours

Mayor Parisi is continuing his open office hours in September. Residents are welcome to meet with Mayor Parisi on a first-come, first-serve basis to address any concerns or ideas. No appointments are necessary.

Garden Contest Winners

The winners of our first annual garden contest were presented with their prizes during out last meeting. They each received  gift certificates for Pleasantdale Nurseries.

Mayor Parisi attended the meeting and said our contest inspired him to try to create one for the township. He said that in general there would be a greater focus on the apprearance of township properties.
