Public Meeting Notice: August 23

Just a reminder that our next public meeting will be:

Monday August 23rd, 2010, 7:00PM
Valley Police and Community Center on Valley Road

Mayor Rob Parisi will be in attendance to talk to the Valley residents.
Also, the Garden Contest winners will be receiving their prize.

Valley Mural Completed!

The first permanent public art installation in the Valley created by artist Dan Fenelon has been completed. The mural is titled, “Celebrate the Arts” is on the side of the Luna Stage Performing Arts Center on Valley Road and is hard to miss. Many thanks to the artist and Susan Borg, the mural project leader.

Dan Fenelon Mural Under Way

World renowned artist Dan Fenelon has begun work on his public art commission next to the WOPD Substation on Valley Road. To get an idea of what the finished mural will look like, see the original announcement we made back in January.

Valley Clean Up Day

Saturday, April 17th
Beginning at 8:30am

People will meet at the Valley Substation. We’ll spend the morning planting flowers, picking up garbage, and cleaning up our neighborhood. A flyer will go home with the Hazel Avenue students. Older kids are welcome as well. We also need adults to help chaperone.

There will be a party in the afternoon (place TBD) to thank the volunteers for their help.
